TRAILS LOSE HOME, BARN AND HORSES TO FIRE

On Saturday, July 26, news traveled to the Blue Gray Horse Show that the barn and attached home of Shirley and Ralph Trail had tragically caught fire and burned to the ground. Shirley Trail was managing the horse show at the time. The Trails had most of their horses at the show grounds, but sadly lost six horses in the fire. Along with the loss of the horses they lost all their equipment, hay, feed, and personal items. Basically, they lost everything they had except for the items they had with them at the show. Their two foundation stallions were lost-The Mountain Fox and Totally Captivating, along with a 3-year-old, Caribbean Soul, and several others.

The Blue Gray Horse Show is currently housing the Trail’s horses until they are able to find a place to relocate. For the barn, they are in need of training items like saddles, work girths, bits, martingales, sheets, jog carts, rakes, pitch forks and the like. The family is also in need of clothing and household items. The community is coming together to help the Trails and donations are accepted at the Summer Challenge of Champions Horse Show. The Blue Gray Horse Show presented the Trails with a check to help them in this time of need. A bank account has been set up for all who would like to offer their support to the Trail family: Ralph E. Trail or Shirley A. Trail-Special Fund New Peoples Bank, Inc, 514 Commerce Drive P.O. Box 517 Bluefield, VA 24605, phone (276)326-2265 fax (276)-326-1324.

Gifts will be accepted in the form of cash, check, ACH, and wire transfer (No Paypal). Gift certificates and gift cards can also be sent to this address: C/O Sharon Vorich, Vice President of New People’s Bank and a customer of Mountain Trail Stables
